Our Story

We’re Hailey and Bree, sisters, co-founders, and proud northerners who set out to build a clothing brand that does things differently.

Ungalli was born in 2013 from a big idea in a small Northern Ontario town: what if clothing could be made better? What if it could be ethically produced and environmentally responsible, while being made at home in a way that supports our community and neighbours?

The name "Ungalli" comes from a children’s book our mom used to read to us — a story that sparked our belief that business should be a force for good.

We didn’t come from a fashion or business background. We came from a family of entrepreneurs, a deep desire to protect the environment, and a belief that the way we make products matters.

People told us it couldn’t be done. That young women with no experience wouldn't be taken seriously in the manufacturing world. That Canadian-made apparel was a thing of the past and no one cared how their clothes were made. We didn’t listen, and they were wrong.

With a lot of determination (and a little help from our grandma sewing on our very first shirts), we launched Ungalli as a retail brand focused on sustainable everyday wear.

But as we grew, so did our mission. Today, we’ve evolved into a full-scale Canadian clothing manufacturer creating high-quality, ethically made merchandise for other brands, businesses, and organizations who want their values to show up in what they wear.

We don’t compete on the cheapest price. We compete on quality that lasts. We focus on premium, Canadian-made apparel that reflects well on a brand long term. Each piece is built to elevate your brand and stand the test of time.

Over 12 years later we’re still proudly made in Canada. Still committed to sustainability. Still doing things our way.

From custom corporate merch to co-branded collections, we help businesses tell their story through clothing with impact.

And we’re just getting started.
